Accent on Feet takes your safety seriously. Outside of the regulations our College and Public Health mandates, we have gone above and beyond their guidelines to protect patients and staff. A primary example is the installation of four (9) state of the art units that will surgically sterilize the air of the clinic, including the operating rooms, hallways and waiting room. These are not simple air purifiers but are four (4) stage units to remove dangerous pathogens (such as viruses) and other particles in a sterile manner.These are the same units that sterilize hospital operating rooms. Instead of wiping down the treatment rooms, reception and waiting room with disinfectant, our team will be using a state of the art electrostatic fogger. This fogger will disinfect ALL surfaces safely and quickly after each patient is treated. We then allow 10 minutes before we place a patient into a disinfected treatment room. This is the most comprehensive form of disinfectant and is also used on public transportation and hospitals. the disinfectant is not toxic chemicals. We use organic based plant disinfectant that is activated by the electrostatic charge.

Here are some of the safety precautions that we will be taking at this time:

1. Our staff will also be equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
2. Plexiglass barriers at our front desk
3. Amount of people in the waiting room will be reduced to three (3) people at a time
4. All patients and staff will be required to wear a mask in the office

As we have done for many years, our instrument cleaning, disinfecting and sterilization will continue to be extremely stringent after they are used on each patient.

We provide automatic Purell hand sanitizers in the waiting room and even have one in the hallway prior to entering the clinic.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL PATIENTS MUST ENTER THE CLINIC WITH A FACE MASK THAT COVERS BOTH THEIR MOUTH AND NOSE.

MEDICAL EXCEPTIONS FOR FACE MASKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. FACE MASKS ARE MANDATORY, WITHOUT EXCEPTION

We currently use two (2) different types of sterilization:

1. Autoclaving (high pressure and steam)
2. Gas sterilization with Anoprolene gas for more sensitive instrumentation
